Brazilian soccer star Ronaldinho came from a family of soccer players to reach the pinnacle of success in the sport. After a celebrated youth career, Ronaldinho became a key member of the Brazilian team that won the 2002 World Cup. He has played for clubs in Brazil, France, Spain and Italy, and has twice been named FIFA World Player of the Year.
Ronaldinho became an ambassador for Football for Peace, supporting the ‘City For Peace’ Young Ambassador Programme, partnering with four professional clubs across London with the aim to unite people and communities through football. In becoming an ambassador for Football for Peace, Ronaldinho described being an ambassador for FfP as ‘an honor’. He has also traveled with Football for Peace to deliver a programme in kozhikode India in support of girls and women in football.
