In 2021 Mesut Ozil Launched the The Football for Peace Mesut Ozil Centre in Bradford which supports reducing inequalities and promotes opportunities for members of ethnically diverse communities to be able to fulfill their aspirations by providing pathways into elite football and education.

Ozil has worked with alberto franceschi to design new footwear for young people affected by the covid 19 crisis In Italy. The profits from the designer footwear will be given to young people In order to have access to digital education.
