At the Qatar 2022 World Cup, FfP under the leadership and support of Hamad Albalawi (General Manager of Investment at Ministry of Sports of Saudi Arabia), MOS, and SAFF, delivered ‘Unlocking the Power of Football’ panels at the Saudi House Fanzone’ with special guests.
‘The Unlocking the Power of Football Panels’ hosted by Braydon Bent invited special guests such as Oguchi Onywewu, Eniola Aluko, Hammad Albalawi, Honey Thalijeh and Michael Chopra to talk about:
- The progress of women’s football at a global stage and the role football must play in tackling racism and inequality.
- US Soccer and the World Cup coming to Canada, Mexico and the United States.
- The growth of football in Saudi Arabia and the developments and positive outcomes of Newcastle United Football Club and the city following its new owners.
